@lllladylllluck …
@lllladylllluck watercolor paper would suck out the ink more since it is meant for watercoloring. There are papers that are great for copic coloring but copics can be used on all paper. If you choose something like watercolor paper it will use up you ink more quickly then like .. xpress it blending cardstock (paper offered by copic).

Thanks Jill! I love to know how to use my Copics on a variety of surfaces. It’s amazing how well they do on metal findings at the local craft store.

I have used my Copic markers on all sorts of paper. I usually test a piece first because Copics bleed through the thinner type papers/cardstock. And this is fine if it bleeds throught the back and I’m going to adhere it down anyway. The great thing about Copics is how streakless they are on most papers. Regular markers almost always streak. i would suggest you go ahead and buy a Copic color or two ( I love my light browns for animal fur and a red for bows).

can you only use copic markers on certain types of paper? I was going to buy some of the markers the other day but the lady told me, it can only be used on certain type of paper.. i think she said something like water color paper… i can’t remember. I’m not sure if she was just trying to sell me the paper too or what haha. so i didn’t buy it!
